It was originally diagnosed as an injection pump because there was no pressure to the fuel rail. After removing components to be able to reach the injection pump, this pile of shavings was discovered behind the starter...

...got all of the bolts out of the block no problem had to cut 2 but that was only because the bolt head ripped off and the strip socket wouldn’t grab it any more. No bolts broken or anything.

...From what I could tell it blew a hose and ran the coolant dry, and with the coolant sensor reading atmospheric air temp it didn’t shut down. Probably all caused from being ran with the isolation valves closed. Who knows, though? The failure wasn’t reported by an operator, I just found it like this during a service.
