My 2012 Jetta Sportwagen TDI has a rust spot...
A few years ago before this car was mine, my dad missed the jacking point (I think it was like 15 degrees and snowing at the time) and damaged the rocker panel.
I want to fix this rust before it becomes a bigger problem. The car doesn’t even have 40,000 miles, but it still has scratches and a couple door dings so I don’t care if the repair isn’t pretty as long as it stops the rust.
How do I fix it? Rust reformer and then touch up paint? Or do I take it to a body shop?
