My sudsy Chevy has four painted wheels now

This was probably the dirtiest the exterior has been during my whole ownership of this car. That glorious reddish orange color was hidden under a layer of disgusting mud and grime. I had cleaned the interior recently, so running out of daylight last night wasn’t catastrophic.

I’ve been driving around with only three of the four wheels painted black for so long, but I finally got around to painting the last one. Looks so much better now. I also took the opportunity to line up all the hubcaps so the valve stems were in the valve stem holes. (I ran out of Armorall, so please excuse the faded plastic)

As you can see, it was really really dirty. All the mud and dirt kicked up by my driveway had left disgusting streaks all down the hood by the near constant rain we’ve had. It was also mostly actual mud, dirt, and dust rather than road grime, which made it come off easier.

Finally, I got a good picture of it in the light, which failed me before I finished yesterday. I never tire of looking at that fantastic color. Is it red? Is it orange? It’s actually bronze, according to the registration papers. What do you think?
