This has been a great week for DOTS, though pretty much entirely terrible in every other respect. I guess that makes up for some of it.
There are a whole lot of classic Toyota Land Cruisers around town. I don’t believe I had seen this one before, and another unfamiliar gray hardtop drove by less than 30 seconds before I saw this one. There is an always parked red hardtop in addition to the yellow hardtop and the white convertible I always see at Kroger.:
I just never see Imprezas of this era anymore.
The exterior of this Del Sol was a little faded, but I was awestruck at the sight of the immaculate interior. No cracks in the dash and the upholstery was perfect. I am guessing this is just super low mileage but always kept outside.

I would argue that this earlier brown example is much more appealing sans automatic transmission. This has got some character to it for sure.
This was the same shop where that perfectly sculpted brown nugget of a Jeep J10 sat.
Also present was this mean looking survivor of a Mercedes 300CD Turbodiesel. This is also one seriously slow car, but you’ll look good going by slowly.
Very cool and very clean old Buick LeSabre too. This one has been around the block, so to speak.
This old SL out back has seen better days, but seems savable.
It might someday look as good as this purple one I spotted earlier. That is a seriously nice shade of plum.
Back to the shop, I can’t identify this forlorn Chevy. I wanted to say Beretta but that was the coupe. I’m drawing a blank. At any rate, there aren’t many of these left anywhere.
Sweet rallycross looking Mazda Protege. I swear this is the most common car for me to see in yellow, which is a good thing because these look great in that color.
Ooh, two door Defender! And in minty green too! I would take that over anything else in that row, even the Bentley!
And finally, I saved one of the most imposing looking cars I’ve ever seen. That is a movie villain’s car if I’ve ever seen one (I haven’t).
