But I just can’t see the logic behind cramming a whole skating rink’s worth of audio equipment and cheesy graphics into an old Golf.

It appears to have once been in great shape.
Just a normal base Golf. I’ve ridden in one exactly like this used to be down to the 6 speed and they are great vehicles, even in the back seat. Not much room back there now.
Is this worth $18,000? The seller very much made this his own, so I would say no.
