Remember when I went over the website of the Cherokee Auto Group? They’re back at it with some extremely overpriced but well maintained time capsules of normal cars.
Except this time, it’s a 100,000 mile two door manual Chevy Tracker. A 2003 to be exact. However, no one will pay as much for this tracker as a 53,000 mile 1985 Toyota truck.
Seriously, this:
Costs $500 less than this and has 50,000 more miles. Nope. CP. Hard CP.
Let’s take a closer look at that 2003 Tracker. It’s a yellow manual two door hard top which, although surprisingly immaculate, is NOT a low mileage Toyota truck.
It is a low trim four cylinder with crank windows and cloth seats. The original factory floor mats seem to be in surprisingly good shape. Overall the interior is in excellent condition, but it is not a Toyota truck. It certainly cannot command $10,000 anytime soon.
Specifically, it is not this Toyota truck.
The asking price on this lightly and tastefully modified low mileage 1985 is $10,500, which is surprisingly reasonable, especially given the Toyota truck price bubble.
How reasonable? It doesn’t have 353,000 miles, it has 53,000 miles.
I wonder if that paint is original. It certainly looks to be in fine shape. The interior appears to have custom upholstery and the rubber floor mats seem suspiciously shiny.It appears to be a much nicer place to spend time than most trucks its age.
I definitely know which one I would be driving home in. How much would have to come off the asking price before you would end up in the Tracker?
