Happy Friday Oppo, so I may be buying a used car private party from someone in Georgia. I live in Florida and will be driving the car back but wanted to know how license plates work. The seller will obviously keep his Georgia plates thus leaving me with no plates. It’s a pretty far drive from Atlanta to Miami so I have a feeling I’d likely get pulled over without a plate of any kind. Is driving with the title and the bill of sale good enough? I plan on registering it the day after I get back so that won’t be an issue. My main concern is that drive back.
I’m sure some of you have done just this so I wanted to see what others have done. It probably varies state to state as well but thought I’d ask anyway. Thanks!
